Virtual Beings seeks to reflect a dystopian vision of the concept of Hyper-reality in the digital environment. Initially introduced by Baudrillard (1981), Hyperreality is a condition where it is impossible to distinguish reality from fiction, due to the action of simulations and simulacra.
The project presents itself as an anthropomorphic analysis of virtual beings such as virtual assistants, virtual characters, and digital humans anthropomorphized by voice, body, and movement respectively, the latter being a culmination of the previous two. In this sense, a synthetic and schematic language is adopted in order to guide the user through the narrative involving him in this dystopia.
