Maria Pia is a photographic exploration of the contrasting realities that coexist within close proximity in Lisbon. Drawing from my experience growing up in Campo de Ourique, the project focuses on Maria Pia—an often overlooked area near Lapa and Prazeres—highlighting the social and spatial disparities that persist just beyond the city’s more gentrified neighborhoods.
